Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin and Pat Barrett

Good Good Father for little ones by Chris Tomlin and Pat Barrett, (board book edition) is based of Tomlin's hit song of the same title. It is a nice, sturdy board book, easy to manipulate by small hands. It is very colorful and has easy to follow illustrations. The text is nice and very child appropriate and easy to relate to. I loved the animals as characters and the repetitiveness and the actual style of the illustrations. The book is engaging and was appreciated by all my kiddos, 6 months - great chewing potential, 2 year old, loved the design and animals and 5 year old - understood the concept of the story and that the Father is God, after it being explained to him more.

I think that is the only negative point with the book itself. It doesn't actually explain that God is the Father the book is about. Which can be emphasized by the parents or whom ever is reading the story and bring forth a lesson in it's self. Other than that key thing, I really did enjoy the book and so did the children I read it too. I did listen the song with them too, to show them how it relates and they enjoyed it too. I would recommend this book for all little ones, it is a beauty.
